Dez Bryant looked like he sustained a pretty bad injury in Sunday night’s win over the Chicago Bears. He went back to the locker room for a couple of drives but was able to return. Bryant got an MRI on Wednesday and results came back saying he suffered a slight hairline fracture in his right knee.
Despite the injury, Bryant was able to reel in three catches for 40 yards and his first touchdown of the year. He looked fine out there for the most part, but did seem a bit shaken up from the injury. It was hard to tell anything was wrong with him by the way he competed on the field.
Bryant was scared to get an MRI because he did not want to face the facts that he might have a serious injury. He decided to skip his first MRI meeting and team meetings on Monday and Tuesday. He is likely facing fines for doing so.
Dez Bryant is a warrior on the field and after missing most of last season, he did not want to see his season end like this again. He is emotional and let his emotions and fear get the best of him by skipping his MRI and team meetings.
Bryant went to twitter to admit he made a mistake.
Dez Bryant is currently listed as day to day, week to week according to Jason Garrett. However, he is likely out for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers via Adam Schefter. Other receivers like Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams, and Brice Butler will have to step up if Bryant is forced to miss some time.
